Yoga – a classical Indian science dealing with the search of the soul. Yoga- signifies both the way to discover the soul & union with it.
Yoga comprises eight limbs.
- Yama - universal moral commandments
- Niyama - Rules of personal conduct,- self cleanliness of mind &body. Study of self (I am)
- Asanas - The practice of yoga postures
- Pranayama -Yoga breathing techniques
- Pratyahara - Control of senses, drawing in of the senses from external world into the interior self.
- Dharana - Concentration of the mind (constant practice is need to achieve this)
- Dhyana - Meditation
- Samadhi - Absorption in the infinite transcending state beyond meditation where the physiological process stops as conscious becomes totally absorbed in the soul. A state of truth & bliss.
